Workshop: "complimentary" (3 hours) - 1 day session

Age Group: middle school & high school age girls

Group Size: min 10 to a max of 20

Time/Day: Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm or Fridays 
                               from 7 pm until 10 pm. Times can also be
                               negotiated.

Objective: to help bolster self-esteem in young women 
                             and make them aware of the "positive" and
                             "negative" impact they can have on other  
                             girls self-esteem.

Spa Offering: each attendee will be  treated to                                       to a mini-mani session.

All girls are invited to join us.  Girls only need a desire to participate, a commitment to attend the meetings and a willing spirit to follow the guidelines - no put-downs or interruptions, offer experiences (not advice), keep the focus on oneself and keep what's said in group private.  Girls are free to share at their own pace.

When girls voice their opinions in a safe environment, it strengthens their confidence and encourages them to express themselves more fully. By examining cultural expectations in a safe and supportive setting, girls gain greater awareness of their options and strengthen their ability to make choices that are consistent with their values, interests and talents.

This workshop is geared to girl organizations, school boards, churches, and alternative school settings.

Complimentary offerings at our facility are provided on Sundays from 2 pm to 5 pm or 9 am to 12 noon on Monday mornings.

Our complimentary workshops offer organizations a look into our program offerings and presentation style so that you can select from the additional workshops we offer and partner with us to have us facilitate our program during your "special interest" program time slots during the school year.

This program works best in helping to transition new fifth graders, ninth graders and new women and girls into a new community new middle school, high school or an overall new neigbourhood setting.
